Parking permits for disabled people are no longer made from paper but from plastic in Ireland. Two XXL printers and 80.000 XXL cards were supplied to the green island – just another example for the various usages of our known XXL product.
In Germany, ID cards for disabled people are made from paper. This is about to change from January 1, 2013 on: The German government will replace the relatively large paper ID with an ISO format plastic card – in order to make it more convenient and user-friendly.
The federal government has already decided on these changes. The transition to the plastic card is scheduled to be completed for all such cards within 2 years. The current ID cards will remain valid until their replacement.
