For more than 25 years, the card has been the center of our business. Our personalization systems are developed continuously, in order to meet our customers constantly growing demands and to open up new application possibilities.

INTRAPROC GmbH is an international company working in the fields system planning, customer-specific development and retail of cards and personalization systems.

At the beginning of the 80ies plastic cards were only available as stamped check or credit cards. INTRAPROCs Video Identograph Systems were the first systems to allow the individual personalization of plastic cards and to visualize black and white pictures. First customers were international companies like Mercedes Benz.

1985 our first representation was opened in Mexico. Since then, one of our main customers is the largest oil company in Mexico: Petroleos Mexicanos S.A. (PEMEX).

Almost 10 years later in 1993, the plastic card market was changed dramatically. The development of the dye-sublimation process allowed for the first time full-color, edge-to-edge printing of PVC cards. Further developments followed rapidly: combined printing and laminating systems, which are still being used for producing drivers licenses in Columbia or the Ukraine.

Another milestone in the history of card printers was the invention of the retransfer printing technology at the end of 1999. Now also oversized cards could be printed in amazing quality, especially suitable for international culture and sports events.

Our customers requirements have long gone beyond the need for simple card printing. Today, the focus mainly lies in the support of various storage media, the development of multi-application cards and the integration of biometric features.

Therefore the know-how exchange with our resellers and cooperations with partners from the personnel and facilities industry represent a central component of our sales concept.
